It looks like Samsung wasn’t satisfied with just releasing one Android tablet this year, as the 10.1-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (or Tab 10.1 the official name) Honeycomb tablet will soon be joined by an 8.9-inch tablet.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 coming in March?
The Yonhap News agency reports that,“Samsung Electronics Co., the world’s second-largest mobile phone maker, said Wednesday it will release an 8.9-inch tablet computer built on an Android system during the first half of this year.”
Samsung Galaxy Tab release date sometime in March?
The local media went on to report that while Samsung Electronics didn’t reveal any further specs or a launch date, the 8.9-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3“could hit shelves as early as next month”(although that may be the South Korean launch date only).
The 8.9-inch Galaxy Tab 3 may very well come equipped with Android Honeycomb, seeing as it is expected to debut next month and its larger sibling, the Galaxy Tab 2, is already running the build.
More on this as it develops.
